Toyota Corolla Hybrid

Every Corolla hybrid we sell is a self-charging hybrid — no plug, no charging network — which is why taxi, ride-hailing and fleet buyers ask for it first. Cars from 2020 to 2022 use a 90 kW system with a nickel-metal-hydride battery; from 2023 the system grows to 101 kW with a lithium-ion battery.

Common questions

Does the Corolla Hybrid need to be plugged in?

No. It is a self-charging hybrid (HEV). The battery is charged by the engine and by regenerative braking, and the car refuels at any petrol station.

What is the difference between 2022 and 2023 hybrids?

The 2023 car moved to a 70 kW motor and lithium-ion battery for 101 kW combined, against 53 kW, nickel-metal hydride and 90 kW before. See the 2023 Corolla Hybrid and the 2022 Corolla Hybrid.

How do I know the hybrid battery is healthy?

Ask for a battery health check with each unit. We send it with the inspection photos and video before you pay.

Mixing hybrid and petrol in one order?

Mixed-model orders are accepted, and we optimise container loading to save on shipping.
