For the 2022 model year (on sale from October 2021) FAW Toyota sold the Corolla Hybrid in a single Pioneer trim, which makes used 2022 hybrids unusually consistent — useful when you are buying several cars for one fleet. It uses the proven fourth-generation system: the 1.8 L 8ZR-FXE engine with a 53 kW motor and nickel-metal-hydride battery, 90 kW combined through an E-CVT, rated at 4.0 L/100 km on the NEDC cycle. Equipment is practical: 8-inch touchscreen with CarPlay, CarLife and HiCar, automatic air conditioning, six speakers, 15-inch wheels and Toyota Safety Sense. NiMH hybrid batteries are well understood by Toyota hybrid specialists in many markets; ask for a battery health check with each unit.
